Ismaila Ibrahim Sani

Co-principal Investigator at World Health Organization

Ismaila Ibrahim Sani has extensive experience in public health and vaccine trials, currently serving as Co-principal Investigator for the World Health Organization (WHO) since March 2016, where responsibilities include overseeing compassionate use vaccinations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Prior roles at WHO included Co-Principal Investigator for phase 2 vaccine trials and Medical Coordinator for clinical trials in Guinea and Sierra Leone. Additional experiences involve serving as Study Medical Officer during a phase 3 WHO Ebola vaccine trial and as Clinicians Team Leader for ASEOWA/AU. Ismaila Ibrahim Sani holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Escuela Latinamericana de Havana, Cuba, and is pursuing further education in Intensive Care and Reanimation focused on Humanitarian and Hospital Emergencies at Facultad de Medicina de Guantanamo.
