Sushil Mate is a seasoned innovation leader with a diverse background in humanitarian and strategic design, currently serving as the Head of Innovation at the World Food Programme since February 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Regional Innovation & Private Partnerships Advisor at the Danish Refugee Council, focusing on innovation for displaced populations, and as Innovation Programme Officer at the International Committee of the Red Cross, leading projects across India and neighboring countries. Sushil's earlier career involved consulting in design and innovation for MART, as well as contributions to product design and engineering at companies like Nokia and Sona Koyo Steering System Ltd. Sushil holds multiple degrees in design and engineering, including a P.G. Diploma in Strategic Design Management from the National Institute of Design.
