Lisa Burgess has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Lisa currently holds the position of Director of Corporate Partnerships at World Food Program USA since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Habitat for Humanity International as part of the Corporate Development team, where they secured and cultivated corporate partnerships for Fortune 500 companies from 2019 to 2022. Before that, Lisa was the Principal and Creative Director at Indigo Brandworks, a brand strategy and design firm, from 2015 to 2020. Lisa also served as the Director of Fundraising and Retail Marketing at World Vision from 2011 to 2015, managing the retail channel and growing it to be the third-largest pledge acquisition channel for the organization. Lisa co-founded Zebra Mix, an organic kids' food and learning company, where they served as the CEO from 2007 to 2011 and achieved national sales and media exposure. In addition, they worked as the Creative Director at Tully's Coffee from 1999 to 2003, overseeing brand development and design. Lisa's early experience includes working as a Visual Merchandising Manager at Starbucks from 1993 to 1995, where they played a key role in product development and brand storytelling.
Lisa Burgess has a Bachelor's Degree in painting and design from the Kansas City Art Institute. Lisa also attended General Assembly in 2019 for a Digital Marketing Accelerator program. In the same year, they enrolled at The Wharton School for Business Analytics. Additionally, Lisa has attended the Rhode Island School of Design for a Drawing Academy program, although the specific years are not provided.
