Saman Farid is the Founder and CEO of Formic Technologies, a company dedicated to simplifying automation for manufacturing businesses in the United States since October 2020. Saman is also recognized as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum in 2023. In addition to leading Formic, Saman serves as a Board Member and Board Observer for various technology companies, and as a Venture Partner with Baidu Ventures, where leadership extends to global investments. Previous roles include Managing Partner and Founder of Comet Labs, co-founder of an E-Commerce startup, and CEO of FALAMA. Saman's education includes two MBAs from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Tsinghua University, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union.
