Dustin Fichmann

Data Scientist at World Data Lab

Dustin Fichmann is a data scientist currently employed at World Data Lab since August 2023, following a role as an associate data scientist. Prior experience includes serving as a research assistant at the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy (ISERP) at Columbia University, where responsibilities involved utilizing the grf causal forests algorithm and collaborating with Professors Brendan O’Flaherty. Additionally, Dustin worked as a research assistant at the Program for Economic Research (PER) at Columbia University, applying machine learning techniques to analyze racial disparities in police use of deadly force. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Economics from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Bates College, complemented by studies at the University of Oxford and UWC Costa Rica.
