Jan Van de Poel currently serves as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director at The World Bank, a position held since November 2022. Previous roles include Alternate Board Member at Credendo and Advisor to the Minister of Development Cooperation within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Belgium. Jan has extensive experience in policy and advocacy, having led initiatives at Eurodad and coordinated a team of experts as Head of Policy at 11.11.11. Additionally, Jan has served as a columnist, board member for the European Network for Central Africa, and adjunct professor at Vesalius College, among other academic roles. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD in History and various master's degrees in Economics, International Relations, and History from institutions such as Ghent University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
