Advocacy Lead - Internet Safety Programme at World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts

Dikchya Raut is an experienced legal and advocacy professional currently serving as Advocacy Lead at the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts since September 2022. Previously, Dikchya was a Chevening Scholar for the Chevening Awards from July 2020 to September 2021 and worked as a Legal Officer at Freedom Forum, where responsibilities included leading a legal aid project and advancing media rights policy advocacy. Additional roles include mentorship at The Kectil Program, participation as Nextgen Candidate at ICANN64, and legal training both at the Nepal Law Commission and Delta Law Associates, where significant research and trial preparation efforts were undertaken. Educationally, Dikchya holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Human Rights Law from the University of Sussex and has furthered expertise in human rights and migration law through studies at the University of Lucerne.
