Alexandre Miguel Mestre is an experienced academic and legal professional specializing in sports law and governance. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Escola Superior de Comunicação Social, Alexandre teaches 'Fundamental Notions of Sports Law' in a postgraduate course on sports journalism. As a member of the Aquatics Integrity Unit at World Aquatics and an independent member of UEFA's Governance and Compliance Committee, Alexandre contributes to maintaining standards and integrity within sports organizations. Alexandre has lectured at various institutions, including The Football Business Academy, Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, and Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, covering a range of topics from the law of football to sports organization and development. With a PhD in EU Sports Law from Edge Hill University and extensive experience as Of Counsel at Abreu Advogados, Alexandre has demonstrated a commitment to advancing the field of sports law both in academia and practice.
