Michael Newman has over 10 years of work experience in software development and engineering. Michael is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Workhuman since April 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Globoforce for 7 years from April 2012 to April 2019, where they started as a Software Developer and eventually became a Software Development Team Lead. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team, designing and delivering engineering solutions, and developing team members through coaching and mentoring. Before Globoforce, they worked as a Web Developer at Sitjaipetch Ireland from April 2009 to April 2012. Michael also has experience as an IT Support/Developer at FX-iTech Computer Services from May 2011 to November 2011.

Michael Newman holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Software Development from Munster Technological University, which they obtained from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2007, they also studied at Munster Technological University and earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computing. In addition to their formal education, Michael has obtained several certifications including "Goal Setting: Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)" from LinkedIn in February 2022 and "Advanced SQL for Query Tuning and Performance Optimization" as well as "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" from LinkedIn in July 2020.
