Katie Thakur has had an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Katie started their career as a Research Intern at the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development in 2007. In this role, they independently researched and drafted a Housing Needs Assessment & Market Analysis report.
Katie then worked as a Peer Tutor at Providence College from 2006 to 2008.
In 2009, Katie joined BuyerZone.com as an Online Marketing Analyst. Katie later became a Senior Online Marketing Analyst, and left the company in 2012.
During the same time, in 2011, they also worked as an SEM Analyst at Autotegrity, before moving on to become an SEM Manager at Smart Destinations Inc. in 2012. Katie stayed with the company until 2014.
In 2014, Katie joined Grasshopper as a Digital Marketing Consultant, where they remained until 2017.
From 2014 to 2019, they worked at Staples in various roles, including Program Manager Digital Marketing, Digital Marketing Manager, and Senior Manager of Media Buying.
In 2019, Katie joined Workhuman as the Director of Social Media. Later, in January 2020, they transitioned to the role of Director of Paid Media, where they currently work.
Katie Thakur obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Global Studies (with a Business Concentration), Mathematics, and Spanish from Providence College between 2004 and 2008. In 2016 to 2017, they attended Harvard Business School to pursue a Foundations of Leadership course. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the "Guy Kawasaki on How to Rock Social Media" certification from LinkedIn in March 2020, and the "Account-Based Marketing Pathway" certification from SiriusDecisions in May 2018.
