Senior Director, HX Strategy Partners - EMEA at Workhuman

Dermot Geraghty, Chartered MCIPD, has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Dermot is currently the Human Resources Director (Technology & Product) at Workhuman, a position they have held since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Senior HR Business Partner at Workhuman from October 2019 to October 2021.

From 2012 to 2019, Dermot worked at UDG Healthcare plc, where they held the role of Senior HR Business Partner. In this role, they provided a full suite of HR services to three individual business units within the company. Dermot was responsible for developing and implementing an effective HR and IR strategy to support 115 employees across a commercial sales and medical division. Dermot also coached project managers and senior management on HR/IR related issues.

Before their time at UDG Healthcare plc, Dermot worked at Ashfield, part of UDG Healthcare plc, as a Human Resources Business Partner from 2012 to 2018. Here, they played a crucial role in providing HR support and guidance.

Dermot's career started at Elverys Sports in 2007, where they served as an HR Generalist. In this position, they had a wide range of HR responsibilities, including recruitment, training, disciplinary action, and HR program management. Dermot was involved in recruiting store managers and Head Office personnel, and they also advised managers on best practice policies and procedures in relation to industrial relations (IR) issues.

Dermot Geraghty, Chartered MCIPD, has a diverse education history. In 2012, they obtained a diploma in Employment Law from the Law Society of Ireland. Prior to this, from 2005 to 2006, they pursued a Masters degree in Human Resource Management at Smurfit Business School (UCD). In 2004 to 2005, Dermot studied Business Studies at UCG, and from 2001 to 2004, they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in English & History at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.
