Tamara Atkinson is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in workforce development and community advancement. As the Chief Executive Officer at Workforce Solutions Capital Area since June 2000, Atkinson has also held significant leadership roles, including Deputy Executive Director in the same organization. Atkinson serves as the Immediate Past Chair and former Board Chair of the Community Advancement Network and is an active Board Member of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, Austin Area Research Organization, and E3 Alliance. Additionally, Atkinson contributes as a Business Advisory Council Member for the Texas Association of Community Colleges and presides as President of the Workforce Development Council for the United States Conference of Mayors for 2023. With a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts in English and French from The University of Texas at Austin, Atkinson has a strong educational background to complement a notable career dedicated to community service and workforce initiatives.
