Erica Schwab

Exercise Physiologist-Program Manager at Work-Fit

Erica Schwab has extensive work experience in the field of health and fitness. Erica began their career as a Fitness Coordinator at Metro Parks of Tacoma in 2009 and later transitioned to the role of Health Coach and Personal Trainer at Metro Parks Tacoma. In 2016, they joined Boeing as an Exercise Physiologist, where they planned and executed Job Conditioning classes for the Industrial Athlete program and conducted pre and post assessments for participants. Erica also worked as a Senior Health & Wellbeing Director at the YMCA of the USA from 2019 to 2021. In 2019, they became an Exercise Physiologist-Program Manager at Work-Fit and a Civil Service Secretary at the City of Orting in 2020. Prior to their fitness-related roles, Erica was a Rowing Coach at both the University of Washington and Oregon State University.

Erica Schwab has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology from the University of Washington, which they obtained in 1996. Erica then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in American Studies from Trinity College-Hartford, which they completed in 1999. In 2002, Erica Schwab continued their education at Trinity College-Hartford and obtained a Master's degree, although the field of study is unspecified.

In addition to their academic achievements, Erica Schwab has obtained several certifications. In 2009, they became a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer - Health Fitness Instructor (CPFT-) through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). In 2013, they earned the title of Health Coach from Get The Healthy Edge. Most recently, in October 2018, Erica Schwab became an Exercise Therapy Specialist through the ISSA.
