Kirk M. has extensive work experience in the fields of architecture, engineering, geospatial technology, and project management. Kirk started their career as an Adjunct Professor at Clemson University in 1998. Kirk then worked as a Project Manager at Carter & Burgess from 1998 to 2000. Kirk M. joined Woolpert in 2001 as a Senior Project Manager and worked there until 2004. Kirk then joined Timmons Group as a Senior Project Manager from 2004 to 2007. Kirk M. returned to Woolpert in 2007 and held various roles including Project Director, Practice Leader, and Discipline Director of Geospatial and Technology. In 2017, they became the Discipline Director for Architecture, Engineering, and Geospatial and Technology, and in 2019, they were appointed as the Chief Operating Officer.
Kirk M. has a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning (MCRP) from Clemson University. Kirk obtained this degree from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Forest Resource Management with a specialization in GIS from Clemson University, which they pursued from 1993 to 1996.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Kirk M. holds certifications in the field. In March 2015, they obtained an IAM Asset Management Certificate from the Institute of Asset Management (The IAM). Furthermore, they attained the Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification from the GIS Certification Institute in November 2007.
