Kerston Swartz is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in government affairs, advocacy, and public relations. Currently serving as the Director of Government Affairs and Advocacy at Woodland Park Zoo since April 2014, Kerston has previously held roles such as Public Affairs and Advocacy Manager at Woodland Park Zoo and Associate at EnviroIssues. Earlier experience includes a role as Project Manager at the US Army Corps of Engineers and Special Projects Consultant at the University of Washington's College of Arts and Sciences, where Kerston managed outreach and fundraising projects. As Assistant Director of Community Outreach at the University of Washington, Kerston developed and executed communication campaigns for over 40 departments.
