Nicholas Lassen serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Woodlam (Pty) Ltd since June 2019 and is a co-founder of Varme_SA, an innovative manufacturer of Scandinavian-inspired, electricity-efficient portable heaters since March 2020. Additionally, Nicholas founded Yungn, a lifestyle app aimed at helping young professionals save money on monthly expenses; and the National Touch Rugby League (NTRL), which focuses on premier and social touch rugby league competitions in South Africa. A seasoned entrepreneur, Nicholas is also the founder of Nessal, a holding company for start-ups. Previous experience includes working as a deckhand for M/Y Ulysses and temporary operations manager at Woodlam (Pty) Ltd, where key operational decisions were made during a factory closure. Nicholas concluded a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Cape Town and has a background in coaching rugby at Bishops Diocesan College.
