Mark Broadbent has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Mark started their career at ExxonMobil as a Co-op Engineer from 2007 to 2009. Later, they worked as an Energy Contact Engineer from 2010 to 2012 and as a Refinery Process Engineer from 2012 to 2014.
In 2014, they joined Wood Mackenzie as a Senior Research Analyst. Mark was promoted to the role of Principal Research Analyst in 2017, where they focused on North America downstream market analysis and building integrated LP models for global refining systems. In 2020, they became the Research Director - Downstream Americas at Wood Mackenzie, where they are responsible for modeling and studying the refining industry, managing publications, and developing analysts.
Throughout their career, Mark has gained expertise in refining, market analysis, product development, energy usage improvement, and refining asset management.
Mark Broadbent received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University, where they attended from 2003 to 2010.
