Ellen Nielsen currently serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, where responsibilities include providing executive coaching for the CDAIO Certificate Program. As the Executive Director of Women Leaders In Data & AI since March 2021, Ellen oversees the organization's growth strategy. Ellen contributes as a Board Member for the Digital Business Network Alliance, focusing on improving efficiency in B2B payments, and was also an Advisory Board Member for DataIQ in early 2024. Ellen's prior experience includes serving as a Board Member for the Petroleum Industry Data Exchange and holding leadership roles at Chevron, including Chief Data Officer and General Manager of Procurement/Supply Chain. Additionally, Ellen has held influential positions at Henkel, HP, and GE, where impactful contributions to IT integration, digital transformation, and procurement strategies were made throughout a robust career spanning several decades.
