Scott Bruder, MD, PhD, is the Founder and CEO of Bruder Consulting & Venture Group since November 2014. With extensive experience in academia and industry, Bruder serves as an Adjunct Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University since 1998, previously holding a role in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. As a Senior Advisor in Orthopaedics and Regenerative Medicine at Wombat Capital, Bruder contributes to a cross-border investment banking and advisory firm. Additionally, Bruder is a board member for Kuros Biosurgery AG and Bellerophon Therapeutics, focusing on advanced biomedical technologies and biotherapeutics. Previous leadership roles include Chief Medical and Scientific Officer at Stryker Corporation, Chief Science and Technology Officer at Becton, Dickinson and Company, and Worldwide Vice President positions at Johnson & Johnson and DePuy Synthes Companies. Bruder holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Brown University and both a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology and an MD from Case Western Reserve University.
