Michael A. Tassitino, PE, PH, currently serves as Engineering Manager and Project Engineer at WK Dickson & Co., Inc., focusing on Stormwater Management projects for the City of Charlotte since December 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Engineer III, Engineer II, and Engineering Specialist at STV from January 2015 to December 2021. Michael's early work as a Research Assistant at UNC Charlotte involved designing filter bed design equations and a water treatment pilot plant, along with synthesizing a surrogate for the waterborne pathogen Cryptosporidium. An internship in Water Quality with an Environmental and Conservation Organization included performing quality control for a biological monitoring program and engaging with community members regarding well contamination. Michael holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
