Ricardo Carreira has extensive experience in software engineering, currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at WIT since October 2009, where responsibilities include the implementation of microservices for Vodafone Group's SecureNet product and background service management using event-driven architecture with Kafka. Prior to this role, Ricardo contributed as a Software Engineer on a global payment project managed by Vodafone Group in Africa, working on RESTful microservices in JAVA. Ricardo began their career as an intern at Domusnet, where tasks included technical support. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Universidade da Beira Interior, and a secondary education in Computer Science and English as a Second Language.
