Terrence Staton began their work experience in the technology industry in 1995 with IBM, where they worked as a Verification Engineer. During their time at IBM, Terrence verified Interrupt Control Logic, designed a new programming language called Logic Control Language, and verified the first version of IBM's CoreConnect Technology. From 2001 to 2011, Terrence worked as a Staff Verification Engineer at Sonics Inc., where they designed the verification methodology for the entire company and wrote infrastructure in UVM/Systemverilog/Python/SystemC/C++. After that, from 2012 to 2017, Terrence worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at ShaveVR, where they designed a Quad HD Super Wide FOV Virtual Reality Head Mount Display, co-designed a 64 megapixel 360 3D camera, and designed a 360 3D camera with FOV fisheye lens that has no stitching. In 2017, Terrence joined Arinda Trading LLC as a Software Engineer, where they designed and wrote a financial trading platform in C++ with DirectX and XAML in Visual Studio as a UWP. Terrence contributed real-time tick and quote as well as rapid historical capabilities to the platform. Later in 2017, Terrence worked as a Sr Software Developer at Cisco, where they fixed customer issues with Cisco AnyRes Live (CAL) and Cisco AnyRes Video (CAV) on-demand products. Between April and July 2019, Terrence worked as a Software Engineer II at TOSHIBA Global Commerce Solutions, Inc., supporting Toshiba's POS products and working on two POS projects. Currently, Terrence is a Senior Software Engineer at WISER Systems, Inc., where they hold a position since August 2019.

Terrence Staton attended North Carolina State University from 1991 to 1995, where they pursued a double major in Computer and Electrical Engineering and Economics. Terrence obtained a Bachelor's degree in both fields during this period.
