Marisa Bates has held a variety of roles in the media and music industries since 2014. Marisa began their career as a Sales Associate/Greeter at Justice for Girls in 2014, followed by a Street Team Member role at WSM 650 AM in 2015. In 2018, they interned at Rebel Engine Entertainment, and in 2019 they held both an Intern role at Creative Nation and a BMI Catalog Cast role at Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI). Marisa then moved to LEO + LAINE in 2021 as a Social Media Manager, followed by a Social Media Specialist role at GTMA in 2022 and a Social Media Manager role at Wingnut Social in 2023.

Marisa Bates holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Belmont University, where they studied Music Business.
