Dick Wall is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and data engineering. Currently serving as Data Engineering Lead at Context Labs BV since September 2023, Dick has an established track record as Chief Software Architect at VineSleuth, Inc., responsible for various aspects of the Wine4Me server and wine matching algorithm since August 2015. As CEO of Escalate Software LLC since 2010, Dick transitioned from part-time Scala training and consultancy to full-time contributions. Previous roles include Principal Software Engineer at Hopper and CiBO Technologies, as well as significant consulting efforts for top companies. Dick Wall has also contributed to the developer community through co-hosting prominent technology podcasts like Scalawags and JavaPosse, while holding various engineering roles that focus on practical applications of Scala and genetics in software development.
