Callie Gropp

Upper School History Teacher at Winchester Thurston School

Callie Gropp is an experienced educator and coach at Winchester Thurston School, serving as an Upper School History Teacher and co-coach for Middle and Upper School Girls Field Hockey and Lacrosse since 2007. Gropp has also contributed as a substitute teacher across all grades, from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade. Previous roles include an Educator at The Neighborhood Academy, where responsibilities spanned teaching various subjects, advising students, and participating in strategic planning initiatives. Gropp has been a member of the Board of Directors at OMA Center for Mind Body and Spirit Inc. since 2011. Additional professional experiences include coaching track and field, tutoring in the Oberlin Public School District, and interning with Citizens' Constitutional Forum in Fiji, focusing on community engagement with marginalized groups. Educational background includes a degree in History from Oberlin College with a concentration in American Studies and a minor in African American Studies.
