Nikhil Bommakanti, MD, is currently a Medical and Surgical Retina Fellow at Wills Eye Hospital since July 2023. Prior to this role, Nikhil completed an Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center from July 2020 to June 2023. Nikhil also served as a Whitaker Fellow at the Farmery Lab, University of Oxford Nuffield Division of Anaesthetics from August 2014 to August 2015. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (2015-2019), an internship at the University of Michigan (2019-2020), and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering with a focus on Cell & Tissue Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago (2010-2014).
