Wilks Broadcast Group LLC (dba Wilks Broadcasting) was formed in late 2004 as a platform to acquire and develop radio broadcasting stations in attractive mid-size US markets. It began an LMA of 3 FM radio stations in the Fresno, CA market in January 2005. It completed the purchase of these stations in June 2005.

In October 2005, Wilks expanded to 11 stations through an acquisition of 4 FM radio stations in Lubbock, TX and 4 FM radio stations in Reno, NV.

In November 2006 we began an LMA of 4 FM radio stations in Kansas City, MO and 3 FM radio stations in Columbus, OH. We later closed on these stations in January 2007 giving us a total of 18 FM radio stations in 5 markets.
