Maxime Nzita Nganga Di Mavambu has extensive work experience in the field of environmental conservation and sustainability. Maxime has held various roles in different organizations, starting from being a Panel Member at the Robert Strauss Center for International Security and Stability in the USA in 2012. Maxime has also worked as the Executive Regional Senior Officer and Deputy Executive Secretary at the Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration Secretariat from 2008 to 2013. Maxime has been involved in facilitating partnerships and initiatives for forest conservation and biodiversity in the Congo Basin as a Co-Facilitator at the Congo Basin Forest Partnership from 2018 to 2023. Maxime has also held positions at WWF, where they served as the Regional Coordinator and Change Manager in DR Congo, and later as the Central Africa Regional Coordinator for Business and Extractive Industries. Maxime has a strong focus on climate change, green economy, and sustainable development in Africa. Maxime 'smost recent position is as the WCS Congo Basin Head of Strategic Partnership and Bezos Earth Fund Regional Focal Point starting from 2023.
