Gabriel Gunning is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as a registered nurse in the emergency department at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center, following participation in the new graduate nurse residency program. Gunning's extensive background includes roles as a managing partner at Rescue Medicine Training Group, paramedic at MaineHealth and NorthStar EMS, principal at Freshwater Consulting, faculty instructor at Baxter State Park, and wilderness and rescue medicine instructor at Wilderness Medical Associates International. Gunning has also contributed as a medical officer and guide at eNRG Kayaking and as an operational paramedic specialist for NH-1 DMAT under the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Educational credentials include a human biology degree from the University of Southern Maine, a critical care paramedic certification, a Bachelor’s degree in community health from the University of Maine at Farmington, and an associate’s degree in nursing from Maine College of Health Professions.
