Shoichi Sakane is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product management, research engineering, and technical contributions within various organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Product Manager at Landis+Gyr since October 2023, Sakane is responsible for managing a major client. As a contributor to the Wi-SUN Alliance since its establishment in 2012, Sakane has provided technical support to the sales team. Involved in the WIDE Project since 1996, research focuses on IP layer security technologies. Sakane contributed to the LoRa Alliance from 2017 to January 2024, facilitating the deployment of LoRaWAN in Japan. Previous roles include Senior Research Engineer at Cisco Systems from 2010 to 2023, where efforts included promoting smart grid technology and expanding IoT applications. Additionally, Sakane has held various committee positions related to cryptographic protocols and standardization and has a background in research at the National Institute of Information and Communications.
