Lauren Riker is a seasoned professional in development events and public relations, currently serving as the Senior Associate Director for Development Events at Whitman College since October 2010. Lauren's career at Whitman College also includes roles such as Associate Director of Presidential Events, Assistant Director of Development Events, Stewardship Coordinator, and Stewardship Writer. Prior to this, Lauren gained significant experience at Weber Shandwick from February 2007 to October 2010 as an Account Executive, where responsibilities included managing projects and media relations for a major Northwest family foundation, and as an Assistant Account Executive, focusing on digital media support. Lauren began their career at Rogers & Cowan Public Relations as an Account Coordinator, handling publicity activities for the entertainment industry. Lauren holds a degree in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations from California State University, Northridge.
