Felipe Lopez is an experienced mining engineer currently serving as Principal Mining Engineer at Whitehaven Coal since July 2019, following roles as Senior Long Term Mine Planner and Long Term Mine Planner. Prior to Whitehaven Coal, Felipe held the position of Long Term Mine Planner at Middlemount South from May 2018 to July 2019. Previous experience includes a six-year tenure at Anglo American, where Felipe worked in various capacities, including Mining Engineer, Drill and Blast Engineer, and Open Cut Production Engineer. Felipe holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mining and Mineral Engineering from The University of Queensland, an MBA (Hons) in International Business and Marketing from Griffith University, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes.
