Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, where responsibilities include developing hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and various educational devices as part of a cross-functional team. Prior roles include firmware engineer at SMART Technologies, where firmware and diagnostic tools for similar products were developed, and electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, focusing on the design and repair of educational devices. Additional experience includes serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary and working as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, contributing to control system development for forestry harvester units. Chris Nicol holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
