Heather advises businesses through all stages on a range of transactional matters. Her practice includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, and equity financings.
She also brings a strong background in employment law and particularly enjoys working with employers to navigate challenging employment issues on the front end to minimize legal risk and avoid litigation. This includes developing and drafting policies and handbooks unique to the needs of each business, addressing employee leave and disability compliance, and evaluating potential terminations. Heather has experience conducting workplace investigations for private and public employers to assess allegations of sexual harassment, discrimination, and other policy violations. She previously litigated employment matters in state and federal court, which provides insight into legal risk and compliance considerations for her current clients.
Heather received her J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School and B.A. from New York University. She is admitted to practice law in Oregon and Washington.
