Erik Falk

Mr. Falk is a senior investment professional with nearly three decades of asset management and credit markets experience. He is currently the Head of Strategy at Magnetar Capital, a $13 billion alternative asset manager based in Evanston, Illinois.

Prior to joining Magnetar in September 2017, Mr. Falk served as the Global Head of Private Credit at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (ā€œKKRā€) where he was a partner and oversaw the private funds within the firmā€™s credit business and served on the Private Credit Investment, Leveraged Credit Investment and Portfolio Management committees. Previously, Mr. Falk spent eight years at Deutsche Bank, holding several roles in the bankā€™s Global Markets division where he founded the Special Situations Group and served as Co-Head of the Global Securitized Products Group.

Mr. Falk has served on the boards of the Home Partners of America, Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA), Corporate Capital Trust, and Corporate Capital Trust II, (business development companies sub-advised by KKR), and various companies on behalf of Deutsche Bank.

Mr. Falk began his career in the Asset-Backed Securities Group at First Boston. He earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University.
