Mr. Hetnarski is a senior investment professional with more than 25 years of experience investing in technology companies. Most recently, he was the Tech, Media & Telecom (TMT) Portfolio Manager at Vulcan Capital, a multi-billion dollar family office in Seattle, WA. Mr. Hetnarski was responsible for Vulcan’s TMT investments across all disciplines including public equity, private equity and venture capital.
Prior to Vulcan, Mr. Hetnarski was a Vice President and the lead Technology Portfolio Manager at Fidelity Management & Research. Over his 23-year tenure at Fidelity, Mr. Hetnarski served in several leadership positions across the Fidelity platform and, for more than 15 years, was responsible for nearly $10 billion of assets under management. Mr. Hetnarski was a Vice President in the Large Cap Growth Group where he was Portfolio Manager of several growth oriented funds including: Export Fund, Contrafund II, Growth Discovery Fund, Destiny II, and the Capital Development Fund. Over a period of nearly a decade, these funds outperformed 95% of their Large Cap Growth peers. Prior to managing diversified funds, Adam was the Technology Sector Leader and coordinated the efforts of Fidelity’s technology research analysts.
Mr. Hetnarski was an equity partner at Common Angels, an early stage venture firm specializing in internet and software investments and was a member of the Board of Advisors at Wellesley Investment Partners, a boutique investment management services firm. While he was a student, Mr. Hetnarski won a national competition to be a summer intern at NASA and was provided Top Secret Clearance. Mr. Hetnarski received a B.S. in Computer Science and Applied Math from the University of Rochester and an MBA from the Amos Tuck Graduate School of Business at Dartmouth. He lives in Seattle, Washington.
