Nikolai Sellereite has held various roles in the data science industry since 2013. Nikolai began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Bergen, followed by an Analyst role at Tryg in 2014. In 2015, they joined Norsk Regnesentral as a Research Scientist, where they conducted research on bank, finance and tech companies using traditional statistical methods and machine learning algorithms. Nikolai co-authored a published paper on deep learning applied to consumer transaction data to predict mortgage default. In 2020, they took on two roles as a Senior Data Scientist, one at Wheelhouse and the other at Lyric, where they worked approximately 30%.

Nikolai Sellereite obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Informatics-Mathematics-Economy from the University of Bergen (UiB) between 2010 and 2013. Nikolai then went on to earn a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Statistics from UiB between 2013 and 2015. In January 2016, they became a Member of Den Norske Aktuarforening.
