Marlee Wierda is an experienced sports reporter currently working at 7 NEWS, WHDH-TV since January 2024. Prior roles include serving as a sports anchor at WOOD TV8 and a weekend sports anchor at WCIA. Wierda began a career in sports media with the Florida Panthers as a game presentation assistant, followed by positions as a president's host at Ithaca College and a production associate for NBC Sports Group during the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Additional experience includes sports reporting and analysis for Ithaca College Television, a publicity internship at Nickelodeon, and an internship with NBC Sports Group during the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. Wierda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio and Television from Ithaca College.
