Simon Zelazny is a software engineer who has worked with a number of different companies over the years. Simon started their career as a software developer with Humane Software in 2011. Simon then moved on to Erlang Solutions Ltd. as a software engineering consultant in 2014. In 2016, they became an Erlang/Elixir consultant for Grindr, LLC. And finally, they joined Whatnot as a software engineer in 2018.

Simon has experience with a variety of programming languages, including Pony, C, Erlang, and Python. Simon is skilled in developing efficient data streaming solutions and has a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Simon is currently based in Poland but has worked remotely in the past, in a globally-distributed team setting.

Simon Zelazny has a Master's degree in Japanese Studies from the University of Warsaw, and has also completed the Japanese Language and Culture Research Program at Tokyo Gakugei University. Simon is also Triplebyte Certified Generalist Software Engineer and has a Japanese Language Proficiency Test, Level 1 certification from The Japan Foundation.
