Huey Walker is a seasoned arts professional with extensive experience in various roles within the music and arts sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Relationship Manager at Arts Council England since December 2005, Huey has focused on grant management, equality, and inclusion, while leading a team that collaborates with music and education organizations to promote access to funding and shape national arts policy. Additional leadership roles include Directorships at Westway Trust and VENTURE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION, as well as past governance at Barlby Primary School. Notably, Huey owned and operated The Flyover Portobello, a music and arts venue, and has a background in production and management for international reggae artists through LRF Music/Black Productions. Early career experiences encompass teaching English abroad, working at a radio station, and varied roles in the arts and retail sectors.
