Martin Castillo is an experienced educator with a robust background in both military and educational leadership. Since July 2006, Martin has served as a teacher at Baldwin Park Unified School District, holding roles such as Department Chair, Leadership Team member, BTSA Support Provider, and Student Intervention Coordinator. Previous teaching experience includes a position at Long Beach Unified School District from August 1995 to June 2005, where Martin also served as the Foreign Language Department Chair and soccer coach. Martin's military experience includes significant leadership roles in the US Marine Corps from May 1988 to June 2008, such as Infantry Platoon Commander and Officer in Charge of a Detention Facility. Martin holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Azusa Pacific University (2007-2008) and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Virginia Military Institute (1984-1988).
