Gordon "Oz" Osinski serves as the Chief Scientist at the Earth and Planetary Institute of Canada since October 2023 and has held a professorial role at Western University since September 2007, ascending through the ranks from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor in the Departments of Earth Sciences and Physics and Astronomy. Additionally, Osinski is the NSERC/MDA/CSA Industrial Research Chair in Planetary Geology at Western University and has been the Director of the Institute for Earth and Space Exploration since July 2019. Previously, Osinski was the Associate Director of the Centre for Planetary Science and Exploration from September 2007 to December 2017 and worked as a Research Associate at the University of Arizona from 2003 to 2004. Osinski obtained a BSc in Geology from the University of St Andrews, where studies were completed from 1995 to 1999.
