Ruhi Bassari has extensive work experience in governance, risk, and compliance roles. From 2014 to present, they have worked at Western Power, starting as an Acting Corporate Compliance Manager before progressing to Senior Compliance Specialist, Acting Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance, and currently serves as the Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance. In these positions, they have been responsible for ensuring compliance with operating licenses, developing compliance plans, and maintaining a compliance register. Prior to Western Power, Ruhi worked as a Compliance Adviser, with a focus on legislative compliance, at Western Power from 2009 to 2013. Ruhi also has experience as a Legal Practitioner at Downings Legal from 2008 to 2009 and as a Paralegal at Yamatji Marlpa Aboriginal Corporation from 2007 to 2008.

Ruhi Bassari completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Adelaide from 2000 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree at The University of Western Australia from 2005 to 2006, specializing in Bioethics, Oil & Gas, and IP.
