Shane Handelsman is a medical student at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, with a background in clinical research and caregiving. Prior experience includes serving as a Team Lead/Caregiver at Vibrant Life Senior Living Communities and a Clinical Information Analyst at the University of Michigan, where responsibilities included managing clinical studies related to Bone Marrow Transplant. Additionally, Shane began a career in healthcare as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University, focusing on microbial biofilm differentiation, and as a Caregiver at Grand Haven Living Center, assisting dementia patients. Shane holds a Bachelor of Science with High Honors in Microbiology from Michigan State University, achieved between 2014 and 2017.
