Amar Tella has a strong background in software engineering and product management. Amar started their career at NWMSU, where they worked on a graduate directed project from 2005 to 2007. Amar then joined Cerner Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer from 2007 to 2011. After that, they worked at Insight as a Team Lead from 2011 to 2013. Amar then joined AMX as a Senior Software Engineer from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they joined DBG loyalty as a Senior Product Manager & System Architect for a brief period before moving to Zappos Family of Companies, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer from 2014 to 2018. Currently, they are employed at Western Asset Management as a Senior Software Engineer/Architect, starting in September 2018.

Amar Tella has pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Applied Computer Science from Northwest Missouri State University. Additionally, Amar has also attended Bhavan's, although specific details regarding the degree and field of study are unavailable.
