Elmer Coppoolse is a seasoned hospitality executive with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at The Greenbrier since June 2016 and CEO of EMCO Hospitality, Inc. since 2003, Coppoolse also co-owns The Resort at Glade Springs. Additional leadership positions include Director of the Board of Governors at West Virginia University and Chairman of the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF-NL). Previous roles encompass being a board member for Mountain State University and the University of Charleston, as well as founder and CEO of HandHeld Hospitality LLC, aimed at enhancing hotel operations through mobile technology. Coppoolse’s earlier career includes positions as COO of SynXis and President & COO of Lancaster Hotels and Resorts. Educational qualifications feature certificates in Hotel Finance from Cornell University and a graduate degree in Marketing from the Netherlands Institute of Marketing.
