Ellen Thomas is a seasoned Senior Research Scientist with extensive experience in paleoceanography and micropaleontology, currently affiliated with Yale University since 1992. Concurrently, Ellen serves as a Professor at Wesleyan University and has held editorial roles such as Editor in Chief for Paleoceanography at the American Geophysical Union and Editor for Geology at the Geological Society of America. Additional experiences include participation as a panel member for the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program and editorial work for the journal Marine Micropal with Elsevier. Ellen's academic foundations include a PhD in Earth Sciences from Utrecht University and postdoctoral studies in Geology at both UC San Diego and Arizona State University.
