Jelle Coen Bijlsma is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various sectors. Currently serving as the General Director of Jelle Bijlsma BV and Van Assen BV, Jelle has been influential in ground, road, and water construction as well as demolition and recycling since 2009 and 2014, respectively. In addition, Jelle holds a position as a Reserve Officer in the Korps Mariniers with the Ministry of Defense since 2015 and has served on several boards, including WoonFriesland and PCBO Leeuwarden. Academic credentials include an LLM in Tax Law from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, an MSc in Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam, and graduation from the Royal Netherlands Naval College. Previous leadership roles encompass chairmanships at CUMELA Nederland and EVO, as well as operational command within the Netherlands Police Agency and the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps.
