Daniel Stein is a distinguished attorney currently serving as a Partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP since September 2022. Prior to this role, Daniel held a Partner position at Mayer Brown from November 2016 to September 2022. Daniel's extensive legal experience includes serving as Chief of the Criminal Division at the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York from July 2014 to November 2016, where Daniel also held the position of Chief Counsel. Earlier, Daniel was a Partner at Richards Kibbe & Orbe LLP from March 2011 to July 2014 and worked as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York from September 2003 to March 2011, where Daniel was the Chief of the Public Corruption Unit from 2009 to 2011. Daniel's career began as an Associate at Covington & Burling from September 2000 to August 2003, following a law clerk position for the Hon. Leonard B. Sand at the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. Daniel holds a Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Columbia University.
