Jamie Rasmussen

Staff Software Engineer at Weights & Biases

Jamie Rasmussen has over twenty years of work experience in software engineering and related fields. In 1999, they began their career as a Student Developer for MIT Information Systems, where they designed and developed Windows applications in C, C++, and Perl. From 2001 to 2004, they worked as a Research Fellow at Media Lab Europe, conducting research in novel learning technologies. From 2004 to 2007, they worked at Epson Research & Development as a Member of Technical Staff, designing and coding for major portions of an innovative videoconferencing system. From 2007 to 2015, they worked at IBM Research as an Advisory Software Engineer and Staff Software Engineer, leading user interface design and implementation for numerous research projects. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Uber Advanced Technologies Group as a Senior Engineer, doing full stack software development with a concentration on front end design and engineering. Since 2017, they have been working at Apple as an Engineering Manager and Senior Systems Engineer, leading a team of software engineers in the Machine Learning Platform & Technology group and growing an experiment tracking service from concept to successful integration with production model training and evaluation pipelines. Currently, Jamie Rasmussen is a Staff Software Engineer at Weights & Biases.

Jamie Rasmussen attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with Computer Science.
